MyMask is a non-profit project founded by volunteers in Silicon Valley, Boston, and NYC to address the shortage of N95 and surgical masks with 3D scanning and 3D printing.

The MyMask app can create a 3D-printable model of a mask that is personalized to your face shape. For this task MyMask teamed up with the German software company trinckle (MGA member) to profit from its software platform paramate. Based on scan data and paramate morphing algorithms trinckle customizes the open-source mask designs to generate better fit, higher comfort and – most importantly – improved protection.

This model can downloaded for free and can be sent to a personal 3D printer or to one of their partners to print at-cost. MyMask is in beta test mode and is testing out the 3D-printed masks with a small group of users. Sign up to get early access to the app.

They are seeking further support for their start in Europe. For questions and comments use their contact information on their website or contact ole.broeker@trinckle.com
