The Federal Institute for Materials Research and Testing is a partner and service provider for industry, politics and science. They research, test and advise on the protection of people, the environment and material goods. Within the framework of their legal and socio-political tasks, they identify requirements for safety in technology and chemistry and thus make a decisive contribution to Germany as a business location. BAM tests organic ingredients in concrete, the safety of shipping containers and explore how one can stop wood-destroying termites without using poison. Within a cross-departmental approach they consider how today’s infrastructure can withstand tomorrow’s stress and make sure to patent innovative processes and products worldwide.
