The handrail signs with Braille are attached to the handrails at the train stations to assign exits or track numbering. It helps blind and visually impaired people to orientate themselves better. These individual, custom-fit parts are resistant to vandalism and 50% less expensive as compared to other methods, the 3D printed parts are adhered onto existing handrails. These handrail signs are for instance already to be found in the pilot region of Aachen and at Berlin's main railway station.
