Wehrwissenschaftliches Institut für Werk- und Betriebsstoffe

The Wehrwissenschaftliches Institut für Werk- und Betriebsstoffe (WIWeBWehrwissenschaftliche Institut für Werk- und Betriebsstoffe) develops and applies scientific and technological principles and methods in the investigation and assessment of the chemical, physical and safety-related properties of materials and supplies as well as textiles and chemicals. The department also supports the Bundeswehr in matters of environmental protection, chemical safety and occupational safety. Employees from a wide range of disciplines work on these diverse tasks. In addition, up to five trainees are trained each year at the WIWEB Wehrwissenschaftliche Institut für Werk- und Betriebsstoffe as chemical laboratory assistants and materials testers.
