Synera accelerates the pace of innovation by providing an open software platform that enables end-to-end automation of the product development process in all disciplines, such as CAD and FEA, in a single environment.

Unlike traditional development processes that rely on the creation of 2D and 3D models, Synera enables easy-to-use algorithm-based modeling. Engineers only need to define the requirements of the future part – the solid model or a variety of solution variants are then automatically created by the Synera software. The integrated interfaces to third party software, such as FE systems, in conjunction with multi-objective optimization algorithms also allow the definition of design loops that optimize the component for specific target values such as cost, weight or strength.

At the end of the day, it is not our software that determines how engineers develop components, but engineers decide how to map their individual, company- and industry-specific development processes in our software. This allows engineers to share, extend, modify and recycle processes over and over again.

Their time is precious and can be used much better for other tasks than for repetitive everyday tasks.

Membership Motivation

We have been observing the growth of the network for some time and see many of our partners represented in this network.
Apart from relevant topics, which are slowly gaining the necessary attention, also due to the work of mga, we see other topics still at the beginning.
Together with the partners in the network, we would therefore like to investigate the question of whether the development departments of larger companies and groups from the relevant sectors are involved in Being able to set up the future methodologically differently and where there are levers to further increase efficiency and productivity in component development.
Due to the ever improving possibilities in production we see the current processes of component identification for AM and component development in general as a bottleneck that increasingly restricts us.

Network Contribution

We would like to support the area of software and in this area especially the area of component development with competence and expertise. In joint rounds we would like to answer the questions which methodical changes in the process are target-oriented for the work of development engineers, how change management takes place and what an implementation roadmap in the development departments might look like.
