SKZ
The Kunststoff-Zentrum (SKZ) offers services for the plastics industry along the entire value chain.
The research activities of the SKZ are bundled in the non-profit SKZ-KFE gGmbH, a non-university and neutral research institution. Application-oriented research and development includes, among other things, the technology focus areas of component properties, digitalization, material development, measurement technology, sustainability and circular economy, as well as numerous plastics preparation, processing and joining processes, such as additive manufacturing, blow molding, compounding, extruding, bonding, welding, injection molding and thermoforming.
For the training and further education of specialists, topics from the fields of materials, process engineering, tooling technology and industry-specific topics are taught to specialists and managers in courses.
In addition, SKZ has a DAkkS-accredited testing laboratory and an accredited inspection body in the form of Testing GmbH.
